FACILITIES

Library Facilities:
The Bio-Medical Library supports the teaching, research and service programs of the Academic Health Center on the Minneapolis campus. The library provides numerous online journal and references in the biomedical and health informatics areas. In addition the collection includes over 350,000 cataloged volumes and approximately 4,000 current serials subscriptions. All University Libraries offers an extensive number of credit and non-credit courses on health sciences information management and evaluation.

Computer Facilities:
the Division of Health Informatics provides a microcomputer lab for graduate instruction and research that is available to all program graduate students on a 24/7 basis. Equipment provided includes PCs, a scanner and laser printers all connected to the University high speed backbone network. A suite of software is maintained on these machines to support the personal productivity and educational needs of the students. The lab provides wireless access for those who want to bring in their own machines.

As students at the University of Minnesota, all program graduate students have university email accounts, a personal website and on-line storage accessible for their use.
